It was wonderful that Dominic did all the driving and provided information about the soil, vines and wines we tried at several vineyards. Dominic was a very gracious wine expert at all times throughout the day - he shared his amazing knowledge of wines with the 8 of us and facilitated discussions between us and the local wine producers we visited. He also answered our questions about history, architecture and local customs. We had a simple but very tasty lunch and finished up in Faugeres later in the afternoon - a very beautiful village with spectacular wines! As we walked past different grapes Hans explained the wine growing / producing process and tastings were provided as we went. The day was beautiful and the countryside was magic! Vines, a variety of flowers, butterflies, crickets and birds abounded! Back at the cellar a few hours later, Hans and Christa provided a very generous lunch with wine. Great company also made the day fun - there were people from Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, GB and Australia. The wines were fantastic and well worth a try.
